Garry was a prominent figure at the club in the 90's and early 00's. As a ferocious prop forward, Garry was renowned around Staffordshire Rugby for his scrummaging and power, and played with many characteristics more akin to modern day rugby players. During his playing days, Garry won several leagues as well as numerous Staffordshire cups, many alongside his brother and clubman Dave.

Garry was a prominent figure in our junior section and coach during the early 00's, and played a big role in the re-emergence of the BRUFC junior section. Since then, the junior section has grown to bigger than ever before with over 200+ mini & juniors playing at BRUFC, a testament to Garry's vision.

While ill health prevented Garry from attending the club in recent years, he was ever present online and would often be found sharing photo's from years past, and reminiscing about much loved times as part of the club, whether on tour, or on the pitch.

BRUFC would like to extend its sincerest condolences to the family, brother Dave, Dad John, children Samantha, Bethany and Rebecca, and the wider Miles family.

Funeral details are still pending, but an update will be posted on the clubs website, and social media channels in due course.
