No senior action after the only game, a re-arranged league fixture with Newcastle (Staffs) 3rds, was called off as Newcastle conceded a home walkover to Dan Black's second team so the spotlight fell on the club's U12s on Saturday.
They attended Wolverhampton RUFC's 150th Anniversary Festival and returned as runners-up to St. Helens.
The two teams met in the first match of the festival which St. Helens won but Burntwood won all of their remaining games in fine style to secure medals for finishing runners-up.
So it looks promising for when the club hosts the County U12s Festival on 26th April.
The fixture schedule for this Saturday sees all three senior sides on their travels with the 1sts at Stourbridge 2nds, the 2nds at Wednesbury and the 3rds at Handsworth 2nds.
