We're looking for a Patrons Secretary

We're looking for a Patrons Secretary

Ben Holt28 May - 19:32

A new volunteer role is available on BRUFC committee for someone passionate about connecting our patrons and supporters with the club they love.

Our patrons are the backbone of this club — the former players, long-standing supporters, and friends of the club who give their time, energy, and loyalty year after year. To make sure that community continues to thrive, we're looking for a dedicated volunteer to take on the role of Patrons Secretary.

This is a non-executive committee position, which means you won't need to attend monthly committee meetings — instead, you'll submit a short written report each month to keep the committee informed on patron activity, membership numbers, and finances.

What the role involves
1) Co-ordinating and communicating with patrons throughout the year
2) Liaising with the committee on our bi-annual Patrons Day
3) Managing membership sign-ups, renewals, and benefits
4) Overseeing the patrons budget and keeping financial records
5) Producing a short monthly report for the committee
6) Promoting the scheme to attract new patron members

We're looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and can work independently. You don't need a background in rugby administration — just enthusiasm for the club and good organisational skills. The time commitment is roughly two to four hours a month.

As a thank-you for your contribution, the role comes with a package of volunteer benefits:

- Reduced club membership
- Complimentary Patrons Day entry
- Club recognition
- Full committee support

If you'd like to read the full role description, copies are available from any committee member or at the clubhouse.

Interested? We'd love to hear from you.

Speak to any member of the main committee, or reach out to the Club Chairman directly to express your interest or ask any questions.

Expressions of interest welcome from existing members and those new to the club community.
